Export Google Maps business leads to CSV
A business lead list is most useful when you can work with it in your own tools. Lead Atlas lets you research businesses by keyword and location, save the results to your account and download a CSV for a spreadsheet or compatible CRM.
What can your business list contain?
Google Maps results can include a business name, address, phone number, website and categories where available. Choosing enhanced contacts can add public email addresses, social links and contact names where found. Empty fields mean the information was not available; an email address is not guaranteed for every business.
How to create and download your list
- Sign in with an emailed code and choose your country, business keywords and area.
- Choose Google Maps only or enhanced contacts, then review the displayed token cost before submitting.
- Return to Research requests to open the completed results. Research continues if you close your browser.
- Review the businesses, then use the download control to export your results. Saved leads can also be revisited from your account.
Open the CSV without changing phone numbers
In Excel, use Data → From Text/CSV and treat phone numbers and postal codes as text. This helps preserve leading zeroes and international prefixes. In Google Sheets, import the CSV and check how automatic number conversion affects these columns. Keep an unchanged copy of the export before editing it.
A worked export example
Imagine you have reviewed a local showroom list. Before import, check one row like this fictional example:
| Business | Phone | Email status | Your next check |
|---|---|---|---|
| Example Kitchen Studio | Keep the original value as text | Publicly discovered, not mailbox-verified | Confirm business fit and CRM mapping |
If the email field is empty, do not replace it with an invented address. If the business uses several locations, decide whether your CRM should keep separate branch records. See the CRM preparation checklist for a five-row import test.
Map fields before importing
Map each CSV column to the corresponding CRM field and test a small import first. Decide how your CRM should identify duplicates: a business name alone is rarely enough, especially for branches. A shared website domain may represent several locations.
Are these verified email addresses?
Public contact discovery is different from mailbox verification. Enhanced results do not guarantee deliverability, a named decision-maker or permission for outreach. Review your intended use and applicable marketing rules before contacting businesses.
